Quotes run on chain every minute: the Uniswap v4 Quoter on the v4 Marketplace pool (the hook stack and every v4 hook in it run as in a real swap), Uniswap's QuoterV2 on its v3 pools of the same pair (0.01%, 0.05%, 0.3%, 1%) and the v4 Quoter on its v4 pools without a hook. The difference is the v4 Marketplace output against the best Uniswap output. One click sends the swap where it pays more, with 1% slippage.

Uniswap routing

The Uniswap Trading API serves Robinhood Chain (4663) behind an API key. With the key set on the server, each row asks it for its route and shows whether any hop runs through the hook stack; the compare above uses Uniswap's own quoter contracts and needs no key. The keeper keeps every house pool within 0.30% of its reference price each hour, so the quote a router sees is the market price.

A v4 router reads these bits from the hook's address. The two return-delta flags are what lets the hook stack take royalties inside the swap.
